We at Dartmouth Players have prided ourselves on having been completely self supporting up until March 2020. In our 27 year history of 144 Main Stage productions, we generated 100% of our income from ticket sales and other on-site activities. Sadly, due to the current state of the world at the moment, those sales have been completely blocked.

Our operating costs like rent, insurance, power and internet access have continued and unfortunately, as a community theatre, we fall through the cracks for  government funding. Things are looking bleak. It will be almost a full year without any income. We would much appreciate a helping hand from our loyal patrons to help us through this rough patch.

We do have several projects in the works! However, they keep getting put on hold due to Covid restrictions. Once they are lifted again, we will get back to rehearsing to bring you a production of the comedy Tartuffe by Moliere. We also have a series of workshops on the way as well.

If you value Dartmouth Players’ addition to the theatre landscape in Nova Scotia, we ask at this time of huge risk to our beloved theatre, to please show your support by hitting the button below. We need supporters to get us through this most challenging time. We can’t do what we do without you!

Many thanks,

Dale Charron
