5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche

It’s 1956 and The Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are having their annual quiche breakfast. As the assembled “widows” await the announcement of the society's prize-winning quiche, the atomic bomb sirens sound! Has the Communist threat come to pass? How will the “widows” respond as their idyllic town and lifestyle faces attacks?
Characters:
Lulie Stanwyck - President. Professional and meticulous head of the society, adores rules and proper manners.
Wren Robin - Events Chairwoman. Loves the camera and is Bold, high-energy and unapologetically herself.
Veronica "Vern" Schultz - Buildings and grounds Chairwoman. Likes to take charge and has a tough exterior but soft heart.
Ginny Cadbury* - Secretary. BRITISH. Newest member of the society and eager to impress at her first quiche breakfast.
Dale Prist* - Historian. Passionate about the society and will do anything for the good of the group.
*Note: Though Dale and Ginny are the youngest of the five, the ladies can vary in age.
No appointments necessary. Excerpts from the script will be provided.
Characters may be of any ethnicity. Ages and genders may be adjusted.
Rehearsals are 3 times a week. Shows run
Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings, shows starting at 7:30 pm, plus 2 Sunday matinees, shows starting at 2:00 pm.
