Gooseberry Pie by Nick Jupp, a heart-warming story of a sweet lady being moved, naturally against her will, into a seniors’ residence by her husband and daughter. This 60 minute play was cancelled during the second Covid shutdown in 2021 and will be reprised with 2 of the 3 original actors, requiring casting for 1.

40-50, single mom of 2 daughters, professional, only child of a distant mother suffering dementia, with some secrets.
Irreconcilable Differences by J.L. Allen, which portrays a husband and wife trying to salvage their shaky marriage with a new, very unusual therapist. This play is 45 minutes and requires casting.

Lynda Doyle:
30-40, stern and professional. She is a criminal lawyer. 97 lines
Steven Doyle:
30-40, frustrated yet mild mannered. He is a Pharmacy night shift manager. 106 lines
Dr.Arkin:
45-55, any gender. Appears as a rather generic liberal-style counsellor with the musty touch of eccentricity. 89 lines
Auditions will take place at the Dartmouth Players Theatre at Stairs Memorial United Church, 44 Hester St., Dartmouth at 7-9 pm, Sunday/Monday March 30/31, 2025. These will be cold auditions with sides from the script. First come, first serve.
Rehearsals will start April 6, 2/week for each play at 3 hours max, with 1 in conjunction with the other play. Proposed rehearsals: Sunday afternoon, and 2 of Monday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings, depending on cast availability/preferences.
